On the heels of WOW Air’s travel guide dream job,  Hawaii Tourism United States (HTUSA) is launching Work From Hawaii, a program consisting of six “residencies” for each of the state’s main islands -  Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and the Island of Hawaii - where you can work remotely in a stunning location or get your side hustle on.The week-long residencies are being crafted to “inspire the best work of your life; and suit the interests and occupations of the busiest, most ambitious city-dwellers, from advertising executives to start-up CEOs, techies, writers, and even visual artists.”  Each of the six people selected will receive an  8-day/7-night trip with room and board; roundtrip airfare; a “specialized” workspace for 5 days, an opportunity to participate in three sponsor-selected activities “relating to cuisine, culture, and  adventure” unique to the islands; and a $2,500 check.Applications are being accepted Work-From-Hawaii.com  until June 4, with the residencies taking place in September. Currently, the program is only open to residents of New York City’s five boroughs.” ‘Work From Hawaii’ celebrates the career-minded traveler â€" especially New Yorkers, who do everything in service of their hustle. … We’re intrigued by those who connect with our culture and traditions in a way that invigorates their hobbies and career aspirations. It’s beautiful how they take Hawaii back home with them-refreshed and more inspired. The residencies are designed to embrace this determination and respect for the islands and stimulate personal and professional growth that will last long after you’ve left,” stated Jay Talwar, CMO, Hawaii Tourism United States.The program is inspired by Americans embracing the “workforce on the move” and Millennials “always-on” mentality, where many employees expect to work, even while on vacation. And according to a recent HTUSA poll, 88%  agree t hat exposure to new people and cultures are essential to creativity, and 64% said they yearn to come home with a refreshed attitude.The six residencies are described as follows: LOCATION SCOUT (Kauai): A residency designed for creators who don’t sit still. DESIGN LOFT (Oahu): The ultimate creative studio in Honolulu’s arts district. THE TECH LAB (Maui): A view so stunning you won’t believe it has WiFi. WRITING DESK (Molokai): The remote workspace of every novelist’s dreams. CORNER OFFICE (Lanai): A breathtaking dream desk, complete with a private jet commute. SOUND SPACE (Island of Hawaii): Produce your masterpiece from an idyllic recording studio. Maika?i pomaika?i! (Good luck!)
