On the heels of WOW Airâs travel guide dream job, Hawaii Tourism United States (HTUSA) is launching Work From Hawaii, a program consisting of six âresidenciesâ for each of the stateâs main islands - Kauai, Oahu, Maui, Molokai, Lanai, and the Island of Hawaii - where you can work remotely in a stunning location or get your side hustle on.The week-long residencies are being crafted to âinspire the best work of your life; and suit the interests and occupations of the busiest, most ambitious city-dwellers, from advertising executives to start-up CEOs, techies, writers, and even visual artists.â Each of the six people selected will receive an 8-day/7-night trip with room and board; roundtrip airfare; a âspecializedâ workspace for 5 days, an opportunity to participate in three sponsor-selected activities ârelating to cuisine, culture, and adventureâ unique to the islands; and a $2,500 check.Applications are being accepted Work-From-Hawaii.com until June 4, with the residencies taking place in September. Currently, the program is only open to residents of New York Cityâs five boroughs.â âWork From Hawaiiâ celebrates the career-minded traveler â" especially New Yorkers, who do everything in service of their hustle. ⦠Weâre intrigued by those who connect with our culture and traditions in a way that invigorates their hobbies and career aspirations. And according to a recent HTUSA poll, 88% agree t hat exposure to new people and cultures are essential to creativity, and 64% said they yearn to come home with a refreshed attitude.The six residencies are described as follows: LOCATION SCOUT (Kauai): A residency designed for creators who donât sit still. DESIGN LOFT (Oahu): The ultimate creative studio in Honoluluâs arts district. THE TECH LAB (Maui): A view so stunning you wonât believe it has WiFi. WRITING DESK (Molokai): The remote workspace of every novelistâs dreams. CORNER OFFICE (Lanai): A breathtaking dream desk, complete with a private jet commute.
